GRY 305: Special World Regions: Geography of South Asia (3 Credits)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will focus on the geography of South Asia with special emphasis on India and its neighboring countries of Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh. The main objective of this course is to introduce students to the evolution of Indian cities, architecture, art forms and paintings through the medium of history, culture, religions and philosophical thoughts from the Indus valley civilization to the present age.
