Admission Requirements

The geography, geology and planning department at Missouri State accepts and encourages all students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in geology.

To begin course work in the field of geology, you initially need to be admitted to Missouri State. Before completing 75 credit hours, you must also be admitted to a degree program.

The geology major consists of 79 to 87 hours toward the comprehensive Bachelor of Science in Geology degree. Alternatively, the geology major consists of 49 to 54 hours toward the non-comprehensive Bachelor of Science in Geology degree.
