Deana began  with the University in December 1981 and transferred to Geography, Geology & Planning in  1985. She is currently the department's Administrative Assistant III.  Is now one of the "old" guys in the department.  If you are trying to reach her through her email address it is:  deanagibson@missouristate.edu .

Deana and her husband, Dave, have one son (and some spoiled Pomeranians and Dashounds) and now have two wonderful grandchildren.  Morgan, her granddaughter is 21 (yes really).Dalton, her grandson is 13.  

 

She is an avid collector and restorer of Vintage Barbie dolls and raises Pomeranian dogs as a hobby (Now a Dashound named "Oscar" has broken the stronghold of the Pomeranians.) 

Her other hobbies include carpentry (she has tried remodeling, plastering, roofing, fence building, etc.), oil painting, photography and enjoys outdoor activities. Likes to drive fellow department personnel crazy with Cardinal Baseball.  She has been (and still is) a volunteer for a charity auxiliary since 1985.
