Biography

A Native Missourian, Professor Evans embraces the adventure that is geology with passion. This includes geologic problem-solving and traveling to some of the remotest areas of the world, including Antarctica (nine months), Hawaii, Jamaica, North Slope Alaska, research cruises along coastal California, western deserts of Utah and Nevada, and some more local features like Weaubleau impact structure. Recent focus is on the age and unusual structures associated with the Ozarks uplift and origin of Waulsortian-like carbonate mud mounds that cross out in southwestern Missouri.
